On September 23, GlassBuild America 2026 officially opened at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

As one of the largest and most influential professional exhibitions for the glass, window, and door industries in North America, the show attracted manufacturers, glass processors, and professional buyers from around the world on its first day.
As building energy-efficiency standards and demand for ultra-low-energy buildings continue to increase across the North American market, the SuperTech / SuperVIG® booth at Booth 2406 attracted many international customers and industry professionals for on-site discussions and technical exchanges.

At this year’s exhibition, SuperTech is presenting several core vacuum insulation products in response to the growing demand for building energy efficiency, carbon reduction, and green construction. Their technical specifications and product designs have received significant attention from visitors.

Energy Efficiency:
SuperVIG® uses a vacuum cavity instead of a conventional insulating air or gas cavity, reducing heat transfer beyond the limitations of traditional insulating glass. Its U-value can be as low as U ≤ 0.42 W/(m²·K), providing stable thermal insulation performance with a relatively thin structure.
Optional Smart Monitoring Technology:
An ultra-thin high-vacuum sensor chip can be installed inside the glass edge area. The sensor remains concealed without blocking daylight or affecting the appearance of the glass, while enabling real-time vacuum monitoring and performance data traceability. This provides a way to verify the operating condition of vacuum insulated glass during use.

Applications:
High-performance building windows and doors, ultra-low-energy building curtain walls, and daylighting systems.

Wide Operating Temperature Range and Fire Performance:
The product uses a metal composite enclosure structure and is designed for operating temperatures from -196°C to 800°C. It achieves A1 non-combustible fire performance, with no open flame, dripping, or toxic smoke.
Ultra-Low Thermal Conductivity and High Structural Strength:
Its thermal conductivity at room temperature can be as low as 0.002 W/(m·K). The puncture resistance is >207 N, more than 10 times higher than that of conventional VIPs, while the compressive strength is ≤0.5 MPa.
At an average temperature of -170°C, the thermal conductivity of the core VIP can be as low as 0.0006 W/(m·K).

Long Service Life:
With a leakage rate controlled at an ultra-high-vacuum level of <10⁻¹⁰ Pa·m³/s, the product is designed to provide long-term thermal insulation performance for building applications, with a service life of up to 50 years, matching the expected lifecycle of the building.
Applications:
Special building envelope systems, industrial furnaces, liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities, and high-performance cold-chain equipment.

Ultra-Thin Structure and High Thermal Resistance:
The product is available in thicknesses from 1 to 5 mm, with an initial thermal conductivity at room temperature as low as 0.002 W/(m·K). Its thermal resistance is approximately 8–10 times that of conventional insulation materials.
Form Factor and Electrical Performance:
The product uses an ultra-thin preformed bottom-shell structure without folded edges and is available in a flexible, bendable form suitable for curved surfaces and complex structures.
Its dielectric withstand voltage reaches 3800 VDC, meeting 1000 V insulation requirements.
Applications:
Wall, roof, and floor insulation for passive and low-energy buildings, as well as battery packs and other small or space-constrained applications requiring precise thermal insulation.

In addition to these three key products, SuperTech is also presenting a full range of customized vacuum insulation panel (VIP) solutions for building envelope systems, including exterior walls, interior walls, roofs, and floors.
The exhibition also features SuperTech’s applications in home appliance insulation, cold-chain logistics, new energy vehicle thermal insulation, and advanced aerospace thermal protection, demonstrating the company’s capabilities as a global supplier of vacuum insulation materials and integrated thermal insulation solutions.

GlassBuild America 2026 is still underway. The SuperTech team is available on site to meet with customers and partners from around the world and discuss window, door, and curtain wall system integration, as well as practical application and testing cases.
