Super Tech Advanced Material presents its next-generation Ultrathin-VIP® at Booth 13B152 during CIBF2026 in Shenzhen on May 13, where the team meets with customers across multiple sectors.
During the exhibition, we receive attendees from automakers and energy storage companies.
A common need among our prospects is:
EV battery pack insulation solutions that work well in the cold.

One of the most common concerns for new batteries is the impact of cold weather.
Battery degradation happens and internal resistance increases in the cold. This leads to three common problems:
Reduced Range: Actual driving range can fall short of the rated range.
Slow Charging: Cold temperatures increase the chance of lithium plating and reduce charging efficiency.
Battery Degradation: Extended cold periods can cause capacity loss.
Before the advent of ultra-thin vacuum insulation panel battery pack insulation solutions, some vendors resorted to battery throttling, while others used substandard insulation materials, and none of them found a satisfactory answer.
What the industry really needs is a space-saving and high-performing insulation material that can be mass-produced.

Ultrathin-VIP® 2.0 tackles capacity loss and increased internal resistance in the cold. It is a practical thermal management solution for compact integrated battery pack designs.
Built on industry-leading vacuum insulation technology, Ultrathin-VIP® 2.0 drastically reduces heat loss from three modes of heat transfer, enabling battery packs to work in extreme cold.
Low Thermal Conductivity
With thermal conductivity of ≤0.002 W/(m·K), Ultrathin-VIP® 2.0 provides much better insulation than PU foam and aerogels. It reduces heat loss, helping stabilize cell temperatures and improve EV winter range.
Ultra-thin Design for Compact Battery Packs
With standard thicknesses ranging from 1 to 5 mm, Ultrathin-VIP® 2.0 saves valuable space inside the battery pack. This leaves more room for module capacity, befitting mainstream integrated CTP/CTC battery design.
High Weather Resistance
Validated by third-party life test results, Ultrathin-VIP® 2.0 can operate for 1,000 hours at 85°C and 85% RH. Ultrathin-VIP® is specialized for wind and weather.

It is universally acknowledged by vendors and customers in the industry that thermal management in the cold is the new direction for new batteries and energy storage in general.
