The so-called “OTA-Locking” controversy in China, or battery throttling through forced software updates, has again drawn public attention to the pain point for EV users-Batteries, to wit: reduced range, slow charging, unreliable performance in the cold.
As we all know, especially in low-temperature environments such as winter and cold regions, electric vehicles commonly suffer from significant range attenuation, slower charging speed and deteriorated power performance. Many automakers and dealerships simply attribute these problems to "cold weather", yet have never found proper thermal insulation materials to address the issue.
Power loss in low temperatures, battery efficiency, and battery degradation remain major challenges for energy storage industries. They are also long-standing technical concerns for car and battery manufacturers.
Whereas battery throttling treats the symptoms, only better battery pack insulation can cure what has long plagued EV users.

Super Tech Advanced Material is proud to present Ultrathin-VIP Next-Gen Vacuum Insulation Panel in trade show CIBF2026. Building on government-accredited industry-leading vacuum insulation technology, Ultrathin-VIP is an efficient, lightweight, and reliable thermal insulation solution that is designed for energy storage in the cold.

Traditional insulation materials are inferior to vacuum insulation panels in terms of thermal insulation, space-efficiency, and service life, all of which are essential for EV battery pack designs.
Ultrathin-VIP is tailored for thermal insulation for energy storage in the cold.
Ultrathin-VIP is a premium space-saving insulation material that reduces battery heat loss due to three modes of heat transfer and thus improves battery efficiency.
Ultrathin-VIP solves problems such as capacity loss and increased internal resistance caused by the cold, significantly improving EV range and performance in winter.

The next-gen Ultrathin-VIP combines industry leading thermal conductivity with lightweight structure, minimal thickness as well as reliability. It is designed to meet the thermal insulation need of new batteries that cannot be satisfied by conventional insulation materials.
Low Thermal Conductivity
Super Tech guarantees that the thermal conductivity of Ultrathin-VIP to be 0.0025 W/(m·K) or lower (calculated in 24C environment temperature), 8–10 times higher than some PU foam and aerogels.
Its low thermal conductivity helps keep batteries warm in cold.
Ultra-Thin, Suitable For Compact Battery Packs Design
With standard thicknesses ranging from 1 to 5 mm, Ultrathin-VIP saves space. Which in turn translates into larger capacity, as it allows for more cells in a battery pack.
Weather Resistance
Validated by third party testing, Ultrathin-VIP operates for up to 1,000 hours in 85°C and 85% RH(relative humidity) accelerated life tests.
Ultrathin-VIP is functional in low/high temperature, high humidity environment.
During CIBF 2026, our technical team will be present throughout the exhibition to provide one-on-one technical support for customers. We offer free technical consultation to help you decide if Ultrathin-VIP would be a fit for your organisations.
Super Tech welcomes attendees to Booth 13B152. The company looks forward to connecting with partners from around the world in EV manufacturing, battery manufacturing and energy storage industries.
